This is a pretty basic syrup recipe but it's a great way to jazz up your coffee instead of just using sugar!

Vanilla Coffee Syrup
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 vanilla bean pod
1 tsp vanilla extract
Add sugar, water, scrapped vanilla beans and the rest of the pod in a pot. Melt the sugar at medium high heat. When melted turn down to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes. Take off the heat and add the vanilla extract. Let cool. You can take to pod out or leave it in.
